Health and Safety
It is easy for contractors to merely pay lip service to Health and Safety requirements. At Tabner Plasterers we like to think we take our responsibilities seriously.
HSE Statement
It is the policy of Tabner Plastering Contractors to comply with all Health & Safety legislation, Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and other guidance.
We endeavour always to provide a safe and healthy working environment, including premises, equipment and systems of work that are, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health.
To ensure the policies are understood and implemented we provide suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training for employees. Employees must comply with any training and information that is given and follow the arrangements and safe systems of work including the use of any necessary personal protective equipment/clothing.
We similarly accept our responsibility for health, safety and welfare of others (public, contractors and visitors) who may be affected by our business.

Method Statements
On every contract Tabner Plastering Contractors undertakes, a Method Statement is prepared as standard prior to any work being carried out on site – and no matter how big or small the job. The statement details plant and equipment and materials to be used and the sequence of work, including drawings, specifications, product data sheets and Health & Safety related information.
Risk Management
Tabner Plasterers takes a structured approach to the effective management of risk in pursuit of its business objectives. This approach, and the framework for its achievement, is based on a continuous process of integrated activities, by which the potential impact of each risk is managed accordingly:
- Financial, operational and management systems directly support the management of risks that threaten the achievement of the company's objectives.
- The management has an active, structured, and commonly shared knowledge of the whole range, and the relative priority, of risks that they have to manage.
- Managers and supervisors at every level share that understanding of risks and priorities.
- Responsibility for the management of risks is assigned to staff that have the authority to ensure they are managed.
Environmental Policy
Tabner Plastering Contractors seeks continuously to improve its environmental performance and all operations are regularly assessed for their environmental impact. Our policy briefly includes:
- Applying the principles of "sustainable development" – that is, development which meets the needs of the present, without compromising the abilities of future generations to meet their own needs
- Adopting a total "cradle-to-grave" assessment and responsibility of our products and services in relation to the environment
- Minimising the use of all materials, supplies and energy, and, wherever possible, using renewable or recyclable materials and components
- Minimising pollution in all parts of the business and aiming for "pollution-free" processes
