Meet the Principals

DAVE TABNER
Managing Director
No longer 'on the tools', Dave is the company's founder and has more than 40 years' experience as a plasterer. He is well known throughout plastering and building industries. Away from work, he is a past-president and regional delegate with the Federation of Master Builders, a member of the Rotary Club of Redcar and an active Freemason.

MARK DOBSON
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Mark joined the company in February 1989 and, since then, hardly a job has been undertaken by Tabner Plasterers without passing through his hands. He was previously a quantity surveyor for RM Douglas Construction and also worked for Darlington Decorators. Mark is now an important member of the senior management team at Tabners.

IAN LOCKEY
Senior Estimator
After many years working for building and civil engineering company M&M Plasline Limited, Ian joined Tabner Plasterers in July 2002 to strengthen the company's estimating capabilities, and is now a valuable member of the management team.

ERIC ATKINS
Contracts Manager
Eric is a second generation plasterer who took over the running of a large company in Doncaster from his father, building it up to become one of South Yorkshire's leading plastering contractors. Eric will oversea all site operations.

DEBBIE ORD
HSE and Training Officer
Debbie is a former branch manager for Barclays Bank. Her role includes keeping the company abreast of statutory health and safety requirements, developing safety policies, preparing method statements and risk assessments, and delivering general induction and specialised safety training to staff.

SARAH ROBSON
Office Manager
Sarah joined Tabners in July 2004 after working in a similar capacity with a technology company and now fulfils a key management role in the day-to-day running of the business.

VAL ROBSON
Office Administrator
Val joined the company in a part-time capacity to provide maternity cover and quickly carved out a niche for herself in the small, but efficient office team.

JAYNE BROOKS
Reception
Jayne joined the company in late 2004 after completing her education. As well as developing her role with the company, Jayne has benefited from training with the North-East Chamber of Commerce towards an NVQ3 in Business Administration.
